Pinched my nose, choked me: Boy who survived UP school ‘human sacrifice’ earlier

In a harrowing tale of survival, an eight-year-old boy escaped a chilling attempt at his life in a private school in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, only days before a second child was murdered under similar circumstances. The events surrounding this crime unfolded on the night of September 6, when the boy’s family received a distressing call from the school, claiming he was suffering from stomach pain.
After arriving at the school, Surendra, a retired sub-inspector from the UP Police and the boy’s grandfather, described the scene. “I noticed marks on his neck, and his eyes were red,” Surendra recalled. The child, whose identity has been protected for safety reasons, revealed that Bhagat, the father of the school’s manager, had attempted to suffocate him by pinching his nose and choking him.
“It was chaos. When the noise attracted attention, people came rushing in, and I managed to escape,” the boy recounted.
Just days later, the tragedy deepened when another child, a class 2 student, was murdered in the same school. Authorities stated that the motive behind the crime was to bring “glory and fame” to the school. Three people strangled the boy on September 22 in his hostel room. The school’s owner, whose father was reportedly involved in occult practices, is suspected to have planned the ‘human sacrifice’.
Hathras Superintendent of Police, Nipun Aggarwal, stated that the five people linked with the murder have been arrested. “We have arrested five people,” Aggarwal stated. “The child was strangled with the intent of bringing prosperity to the school and securing its future.”
