This is a vintage Japanese LARGE lacquered wooden writing box, which was made about 40-50 years ago.
Natural wooden box is coated with high quality Japanese lacquer (Not plastic one.
Flowers are painted by MAKIE technique.
The cloth is covered with lacquer on the bottom as the non-slip function.
This box was made as any commemoration for a hospital (It is stamped on the bottom).
