cedar butterfly house

Description

Up for sale is a handmade butterfly house.  It is made from a mixture of recycled and new cedar.  The recycled cedar has been cleaned up and looks new, with  a small nail hole here or there.  I have left the cedar unfinished.  It can be left this way, and over time it will grey with age.  Or you can add your own finish to it.  You can hang this from a tree branch or shepherds hook, with the addition of a few small pieces of hardware.  Or you can attach it to your fence boards with a few screws.  This is made from 3/4 inch cedar, and was put together with waterproof glue and galv nails and/or staples (where needed).  This will give you many years of help in your garden with keeping butterfly's around. This is 2 foot tall X 7 inches X 7 inches.  This is a heavy piece. I make practical garden pieces.  I don't add a bunch of gingerbread to my bird houses, feeders, ect..  I make pieces that get used by wildlife.  Not pieces that just sit there and look pretty for the first few years, before falling apart.  I use all my designs in my yard.  And they all get used by the wildlife.  Which is the point of putting one outside, right?  So, if you want to attract wildlife to your yard, garden, flowers, ect.. give my items a look.  I keep my prices as low as I can.  They are all made here in the USA.  Not imported from overseas or made in a sweatshop.  All my wood was grown and milled either in my town or close enough to justify the drive.  Most of what I use is not only grown about 20 minutes away, but also milled and dried by a local, small one man business.  The recycled cedar came off of fences and decks around the neighborhood that have been replaced. I build everything I sell in my shop.  I enjoy building and designing different jewelry boxes, feeders, houses, chessboards, ect.. in my free time.  Plus the money I make from each piece sold helps pay for my kids schooling.  I also believe in creating jobs here in America.  That is why I buy all my wood from local sources.  You wont see many pieces from me with exotic woods that have been imported.  Almost everything I build and sell has been built using local soft and hardwoods.  Each piece is unique.  Each piece of wood has its on unique features (color, shade, knots, ect..) and will result in no two pieces looking the same.
