Designed for each species by experts, the products provide the correct dimensions, materials, ventilation, and drainage.
All products are handcrafted from eastern white pine.
This wood is much better to use than cedar or cypress as it doesn't release scent oils or gases, which could harm the young.
Each product is constructed to last and includes a brochure that describes the species, and the placement and maintenance of your item.
You do not need to stain or paint this house.  The company
suggests boiled linseed oil
as a preservative.  It you decide to paint or stain the house, use ONLY water-based dark paint or stain and only to the OUTSIDE of the house.  Dark color helps retain heat for the bats.
Houses up to 30 bats in a single chamber.
Features include a large screened landing pad, roughened interior surface and an echolocation slot.  Designed for cooler locations preferred by solitary males, but also suitable for a small nursing colony.
