Antique Pigeon Blood Red Ginbari Cloisonne Lined Box

Description

This vibrant red box measures approximately 4.5" x 3.25" x 2".  It belonged to my late parents.  My father was part of the occupation forces in Japan immediately after the war, so I believe it's age is somewhere in the 1940's.  It's hand painted with a delicate floral scene.
The a small piece of the enamel has come off of one corners (pictured), and the four corners on the bottom show some wear.  The metal rim shows a bit of tarnish, and the brocade lining is clean without tears.  It's a lovely piece and is in relatively good shape, considering it's around 80 years old.
