    Description

ANHEUSER BUSCH COLLECTORS CLUB STEIN - 100TH ANNIVERSARY ST LOUIS WORLD'S FAIR -
St. Louis World's Fair 1904-2004 ". This 9 1/4" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. Artist Jim Wainwright designed this stein celebrating Anheuser-Busch's role at the St. Louis World's Fair. The 1904 advertisements on each side of the stein attest to the popularity of the brewery as a Fair destination. Between the ads is the A&Eagle ® design, bordered by a garland of barley and hops. The back of the stein features an illustration of Grant's Cabin. Built by President Ulysses S. Grant, the cabin was exhibited at the Fair. After the Fair, it was purchased by August A. Busch, Sr., who moved it to its current location on Grant's Farm in St. Louis, Missouri. The pewter lid is accented by a ceramic globe sculpture, in the middle and raised
