2000 Budweiser Summer American Olympics Team lidded stein. Made in Brazil by Ceramarte. This 10" tall lidded stein by artist Doug Thompson, commemorates the competitions in Sydney, Australia with a full color dimensional montage of athletes giving their all - from volleyball and the velodrome through classic track and field, swimming, diving and boxing competition. Below and above the montage are flags of competing countries, all on a base with the words " American Olympic Team 2000 " and the Olympic logo in ceramic relief. The handle is reminiscent of the columns of ancient Greece. The pewter lid is engraved with a laurel wreath and topped with an engraved medallion of the Olympic Rings. A finely detailed torch and flame provide a unique thumbrest. Individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Gift box. Excellent brand new condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or crazing.
